Ofsted, DCSF propose schools use existing survey providers

Labels: | 0 comments»

Ofsted and the DCSF have issued a combined consultation document - "Indicators of a school's contribution to well-being".

A key part of this are indicators relating to pupils' and parent's perceptions. A centrally organised survey is dismissed in favour of negotiating with existing survey providers to gain access to their results - anonymously, of course. Schools would be encouraged to survey annually, although not necessarily 'fully' if samples generate sufficient data. At School Survey Experts, we don't use samples as our motto is "every voice heard".

Findings should be published in February 2009.
