New Self-Evaluation Form (SEF) for September 2009

Labels: , | 0 comments»

Ofsted have just published the part A SEF which has been trialled in the recent pilots. The new online version is intended to be available to schools mid July.
Prompts have been removed and schools are asked to grade themselves and provide evidence against areas such as:

  • Pupil attainment
  • Quality of learning and progress
  • The extent to which pupils feel safe
  • Adoption of healthy lifestyles
  • Pupil Behaviour
  • Pupil contribution to wider community
  • Effectiveness of engagement with parents & carers
  • Spiritual, moral, social and cultural development
  • Effectiveness of promotion of community cohesion
A wide variety of evidence can be referred to in your SEF, but as ever, the opinions of pupils, parents and staff as documented through our surveys will provide an excellent spring board.
